Water is easier to manage as far as filling, moving, and draining the base. System has been tested to withstand up to 40 mph winds when properly filled with water.Sand provides more rigidity, is more suitable if you want your system to withstand higher winds, aggressive play, and leaking. 54" clear Makrolon® playing surface is virtually shatter proof and provides a professional looking backboard. Power Lift® handle uses a pneumatic mechanism to allow you to easily adjust the height of the backboard from 7.5 to 10 feet with infinite settings. The backboard is UV-protected to resist yellowing and fading. Steel parts are powder-coated to prevent rusting. So pick the spot, pick the height, and get your game on!
